These dahlias where painted, with summer moving to fall in such a glorious manner. I found refuge in the studio. Life is full of change as I support my kids and parent through big transitions, and meanwhile my own heart, mind, body on its own journey. While working on this piece, I held the following contemplation...

With so much changing in my life,
I look closely, and see
There’s an invitation
To strength To growth
To bravery
To rest

To make peace with solitude
To make peace with discomfort
To bring a heart of openness and curiosity,

May it be so.
May we each discover in change, loss, newness
A sense of returning to a radiant true nature.

"Nobly born one, You of glorious origins,
Remember your radiant true nature,
The essence of mind. Trust it.
Return to it. It is here."
-Tibetan Book of the Dead

Hoping these radiant beauties meet you are, whatever is in motion, may you bring a tender heart to it.
