​The end of summer garden is a delight beyond words. The colorful movement in every direction. The sense of finale (inspires a standing ovation?!). When I received the bouquet that inspired this piece, I felt my whole being come alive with delight. I could hardly wait to start painting. There is a vibrancy in these flowers that is unparalleled. 

This painting feels like an invitation, a reminder. To surrender to the beauty and joy of life, even knowing that change is ahead. The beauty of nature leads me to be unafraid. I feel the support and the wisdom of cycles and seasons. The sure knowledge that letting go is the requirement of beginning again. Nature knows no such linear ideas but only cycles of birth decay rebirth. 

And so I affectionately call this piece, "Trust in Love, Peace and Hope, Returning" 

In the face of certain change and loss, these flowers bloom fully. In letting go, in blossoming, they surrender to the wisdom and rhythm of their design. May I not fear the ebb and flow of my life. May I trust in love, peace, hope returning.
