Painting peonies is bliss. When I study the many petals unfolding, I’m reminded how they blossom without effort. Nature doesn’t keep a to-do list. There’s an inner rhythm to its design. Given warmth, safety, light, and nourishment, flowers and trees (and yes, also you and me) naturally grow and blossom.

My deepest hope is that ordinary days of warmth, light, nourishment are available for all. I hope for a world where care for our neighbors is not an abstract idea but a lived one.

May all beings be safe.
May all beings be happy and healthy.
May all beings live with ease.
May all beings have what they need to grow and blossom.

These yellow peonies hold tenderness, surrender, and hope.

This painting offers a reminder that growth happens even when we’re not pushing, and that goodness and beauty are our original nature.
