When life is hard, it can feel almost disloyal to delight in beauty. But the bleeding heart reminds me that we do not have to choose between sorrow and wonder.

We can hold both.

Hope and grief.
Joy and tears.
New beginnings and endings.
A burst of color and a reminder of loss.

The bleeding heart blooms and I hear its tender message, to practice holding both at once.
