Growth is not something we finish once and for all. Life keeps asking us to open again — into new seasons, new losses, new joys, new versions of ourselves.

The springtime fern reminds me of this.

Something within us still reaches toward light. Every arrival contains a departure. Every beginning is also the ending of something else. Nothing stays as it was; everything changes.

The unfurling never stops.

And maybe that is not something to fear.
Maybe it is evidence that we are alive.
