Savor the Time You Have
Savor the Time You Have
These paintings are inspired by Big Boulder Lake in the Poconos in PA. I love the final sentence that arrived with this prayer poem, which is “the still lake is fed by a vibrant stream.“ I think there’s something captured in these paintings about hope and joy and loss in the reality of impermanence and the longing to be present and brave enough to navigate at all. There are three in this series each one with a different prayer poem written under the paint.
What does it look like to savor the time you have?
To be in the stillness while everything is moving
To feel optimism in the face of fears
To be honest about reality and not consumed by grief
The path has always been clear.
Connect with love,
and you will naturally choose the higher path
Trust yourself
Less learning more living
Connect to community
Make generous offerings
The still lake is fed by a vibrant stream.
