The most amazing thing has happened while working these giraffe. First of all I was simply beside myself with joy creating giraffes. I felt a deep sense of peace during the creative process at the wholeness and completeness of people who were on my heart (myself included!).

The following day I listen to a gorgeous meditation with Jack Kornfield. And part of the message is when you step into any hard situation....can you pause and call on the wisdom of buddha/God/divine/Jesus to show you how to be in these situations? Can you visualize this wise essence moving through YOUR life. As I get back to painting after that meditation I find myself with a deep knowing that we each have within us this wise (and loving) essence that will guide us through all of life, through every decisions, through any physical challenges, through the stresses and heartache of mind/heart/relationship/career/body.

I'm immersed in such warmth and clarity of these giraffe as reminders of the wisdom (and love) that is within each of us, guiding us.
