Inspired by “Giant Steps” in Harpswell, Maine

After a magical drive past the sweetest homes and vistas, we found parking near ‘Giant Steps” the shrubbery blocked the view and we weren’t sure what we were about to see. Stepping out into the vista of these massive rocks was stunning. The kids enjoyed scrambling over the rocks and hubby and I enjoyed being with the power and strength of this place where ocean and rock meet. There was something in the space that felt powerful, it caused an inner quiet to emerge. I felt strengthened by the beauty and wonder of this space. I felt myself filled with a hope that exceeds the circumstances we find ourselves in, a defiant hope for mother earth, and for facing the challenges before us as global citizens.
