This mountain piece is a reminder of what endures through time. It was delightful to paint the green majesty and all the wildflowers of this beloved mountain range.

I researched the history of the formation of the Drakensberg mountains (rifting tectonics) and it is incredible to consider their formation 182 million years ago. Millions of years. So much of life, even the time that we get to walk around, is fleeting. There is something about mountains that reminds me of something that endures, that love endures.
